Gonstead is unique as it is a complete and specific in analyzing and treating the spine. The Gonstead Doctor evaluates the entire spine for the presence of a vertebral subluxation which cause ill health. The Gonstead analysis uses x–ray analysis, instrumentation, static and motion palpation and visualization to find the spinal misalignment.
X–rays–to see the entire spinal structure, evaluate the misalignments as well as looking for disease, fracture, posture joint ands disc integrity.
Instrumentation–a nervoscope is used on the spine to detect heat changes in the spine resulting from the nerve pressure and inflammation.
Static and motion palpation–Static–feeling for swelling tenderness and even texture changes of the skin. Motion–moving the patient to find exactly where the misalignment is the most restricted.
Visualization–looking for subtle changes in posture and movement that may indicate a problem area.
All these tools allow Dr. Cavin to find the problem in the spine and correct it with the best approach possible.
Dr. Gonstead the developer of the Gonsteadtechnique began studying chiropractic after it help him with arthritis.
